"...The product is great, and easy to swallow. It doesn't smell awful like other available powders on the market... And it is tasteless which I absolutely prefer. Thank you for this."
"Wonderful what can I say
I bought these after I had tried the patches and vitamin B12 and D levels were going low. All were going low. I am brand new. So they come highly recommended as I have had my bloods done."
"I love this supplement. After getting the sleeve I was overwhelmed about which supplements to take and getting anxious about taking the right amount, especially after the conflicting info given after surgery and online..."
"I bought it for the 20 grams of protein, but the collagen was a bonus. Losing weight, I worry about building muscle and loose skin so these are perfect!..."

Clinically Proven | FSMP Certified Our Food for Special Medical Purposes (FSMP) label provides peace of mind we are legally compliant as a specialist supplement for Bariatric Patients. Informed by research on micronutrient needs, absorption, and gut functionality after surgery, our bariatric formulas are certified for a reason!
Made with you in mind, our tablets are uniquely coated to be easy to swallow and begin to breakdown with immediate release once taken for maximum absorption post your bariatric surgery.
Our scientists have carefully selected ingredients in forms that your body can absorb after bariatric surgery, and looked at how ingredients work together to amplify their effectiveness.
Protein Shots are designed to provide maximum nutrition is as little volume as possible.
Hydrolysed Collagen Protein has been broken down into its simplest form so absorption is 99% with our shots compared to 80% when consuming Whey Protein Concentrate, found in other protein supplements.
Simply put, it's the ultimate complete protein supplement - hydrolysed Protein is rapidly absorbed and utilised by the body, while collagen gets to work to restructure and contour.

There are 3 things we formulated to ensure
Calcium and Iron do not interfere with absorption within our BariXP® 360 Multivitamins:
Our multivitamin formula contains Iron
as Ferrous Fumarate, a non-heme iron. You’ll find
non-heme iron in fortified foods such as cereal that is designed to be taken
alongside milk containing calcium. Studies show that non-heme iron has little
to no competition with calcium. So you are able to take these together without
worrying about absorbing the iron.
For Calcium to negate the absorption
of Iron also it needs to be in a ratio adequate to interfere with this.
Evidence puts this around a 220:1 calcium to iron
ratio. The ratio in BariXP® 360 Multivitamins is only 31:1, so iron absorption
will not be affected at such a low ratio and in this non-heme form.
Thirdly, the presence of Vitamin C
(ascorbic acid) in the diet has proven to increase the absorption of non-heme
iron so we have made sure to have this in abundance. We’ve included Vitamin C
in our formula to be efficacious at a ratio over 2:1 Vitamin C to Iron, where
there is evidence to support this increases absorption and positive effects for
patients suffering with anaemia and consequent low haemoglobin levels (a common
concern for post-bariatric surgery patients).

We advise taking no more than 3 tablets at once to ensure optimal absorption of Calcium.
Unlike many other bariatric supplements, our formula includes this essential nutrient, aiming to simplify your routine.
Following a typical gastric sleeve or gastric bypass procedure, clinical recommendations suggest a daily intake of 1200-1500mg of calcium. However, the body can only absorb 600-800mg at a time, rendering higher doses ineffective for most individuals.
With each of our tablets containing a potent 750mg of calcium, exceeding the recommended dosage is not advisable. We prioritise simplicity and efficacy in our product to support your health journey effectively.

When referencing specific vitamins such as Vitamin A, Vitamin D or Calcium, each of these has a ’source type’. This source type affects how well they're absorbed by the body.
For instance, Vitamin D exists in forms such as D2 and D3, with D3 being notably more bioavailable and thus better absorbed. This is why we put it in our supplements.
Similarly, calcium comes in two common forms: Calcium Carbonate and Calcium Citrate.
For bariatric patients, Calcium Citrate is the preferred option for two main reasons:
While some companies opt for Calcium Carbonate in their supplements due to its smaller size and lower cost, we at BariXP prioritise efficacy and patient well-being.
Here's 2 main reasons why some companies will use Calcium Carbonate in their supplements:
BOMSS Guidelines recommend 1200-1500mg of Calcium be supplemented daily.
BariXP 360 multivitamins provide 1500mg of Calcium Citrate with each dose.

Q: Why aren't blood tests reliable for assessing bone health?
A: Blood tests are not ideal for measuring true bone health because only about 1% of the calcium in our bodies is found in our bloodstream. The remaining 99% is stored in our teeth and bones, where it plays a crucial role in maintaining bone density and strength. Blood tests primarily measure the calcium levels circulating in the bloodstream and may not accurately reflect the overall status of bone health.
Q: What alternative method is recommended for bariatric patients to assess bone health?
A: For bariatric patients, who are at increased risk of bone-related complications due to factors such as malabsorption and changes in metabolism following surgery, periodic evaluation of bone health is essential. One recommended method for assessing bone health is through specialised X-rays called Dexa Scans. These scans provide detailed images of bone density and can help determine the effectiveness of supplementation with calcium, vitamin D, and magnesium.
Dexa Scans are particularly valuable for bariatric patients as they offer insight into bone density changes over time, helping to identify signs of osteoporosis or other degenerative bone diseases early on. If Dexa Scans are not already part of your nutritional screening routine, it's important to speak with your GP and request a referral to ensure comprehensive monitoring of your bone health.

Nutritional deficiencies can contribute to hair loss following bariatric surgery, which is a common concern among patients. Deficiencies in protein, biotin, zinc, folic acid, vitamin D, and ferritin (which affects iron levels) are often observed. Our formula at Bari XP is carefully crafted to address these needs comprehensively, containing essential nutrients to support hair, skin, and nails.
It's crucial to recognise the interconnectedness of B vitamins, particularly biotin (Vitamin B7). B vitamins function in harmony with each other, and one is often vital for the conversion and activation of the other. That's why you often see B Vitamin supplements grouped together and sold as a 'B-Complex', this is because taking them at high doses in isolation can often be ineffective and even counterproductive.
Unlike many other bariatric supplements on the market, our formula is designed to simplify your regime. A typical daily dose for gastric sleeve or gastric bypass patients includes:
These percentages are carefully calculated to meet the unique needs of post-bariatric surgery patients, supporting optimal health and wellness.
In addition to our comprehensive multivitamins, collagen protein can be valuable supporting hair, skin, and nails.

Hydrolysed protein is a special form of protein that’s particularly suited for fast absorption and low allergenic potential; this is key for bariatric patients who are unable to break down and absorb nutrients adequately after surgery; as well as combatting intolerances like lactose and gluten common post-surgery.
Using hydrolysed protein keeps these concerns to a minimum. It is also free from all carbohydrates, sugar and fats – supporting bariatric weight loss and maintenance goals.
Normally, your body does the hydrolysing itself (a chemical process that involves breaking down the bonds of the protein molecules) in your stomach and your small intestine; but after surgery, this can be somewhat difficult. For bariatric patients who have had one or both of these areas altered, increasing bioavailability and absorption is a priority concern for optimum bariatric nutrition – hydrolysed protein has the highest absorption rate out of all the protein types at 99% uptake.
As it is partially pre-digested (hydrolysed and broken down) your post-bariatric digestive system benefits from having this immediate acting and low allergenic form.
